Canada 2018 Half Dollar Coat of Arms 50 Cents Special Mint Wrap Roll of 25 L04

Price: $39.95 $19.95
(You save $20.00)

Product Description

This special mint roll of pristine half dollars (no longer issued for circulation) is the only way to get these scarce coins outside of select mint sets - and you get 25 of them!

Like the United States, Canada no longer issues half dollars directly into circulation. This is not to say that circulation-strike 50 cent pieces are not minted - they are, but they're not issued to Canadian banks for general circulation in any form (rolls or bags). This means two things:

    1)  Half dollars are Canada's lowest-mintage circulation coins (by far); and
    2)  These half dollars are only available directly from the mint (and not from banks).

Our Suggestion? Get several of these colorful and low-mintage mint-issued rolls and put them away for a rainy day!

Coat of Arms of CanadaA Modern Rarity
If you want a circulation-strike 50 cent coin from Canada, there are only two choices. In some (but not all!) of the mint sets this year, you'll get one (1) standard half dollar. Or, you can make the economical choice and buy a mint-wrapped roll of 25 for a great price!

This special mint wrapped roll is issued by the Royal Canadian Mint only for collectors. None are sent to banks, so this is the only way to get a bulk quantity of these hard-to-find 50 cent coins. This year, only 30,000 rolls will be issued, and when they're gone, they're gone. These always sell out (and sell out FAST) at the Mint!Get yours today!

The Coat of Arms of Canada
Each circulation-strike Canadian half dollar features the Coat of Arms of Canada. These armorial bearings were created in the best traditions of heraldry. Like all heraldic devices, each element of the national arms of Canada possess a specific meaning.

For example, the large lion to the left and unicorn to the right are termed "supporters", and represent England and Scotland, respectively. Each holds a lance topped with a flag - the lion supports the Union Jack of the United Kingdom, while the unicorn's lance flies the gold fleurs-de-lis of royal France. Beneath the supporters and the shield (or "escutcheon"), a banner carries the motto of Canada: A Mari usque ad Mare, which is Latin for "From Sea to Sea". In this way each element of the Coat of Arms of Canada represents something of significance, resulting in a set of arms rich in symbolism.

Investment Note

This is a roll of twenty-five circulation-strike half dollars in a full-color mint wrapper. These special mint-wrapped rolls are the only way to acquire a brilliant uncirculated (BU) example of the 50 cent piece outside of mint sets, as these coins are not available in bags or in bank-wrapped rolls. What's more, the mint has put a strict limit of only 30,000 rolls on this year's issue, so these are hard-to-find and will only get scarcer as time goes on. Put a few rolls away today!
