Product Description

Don't miss out (mintage is just 1,000)! Here's your very own unique opportunity to own an Emily Carr image on a canvas exquisitely crafted from 5 troy ounces of 99.99% pure silver, with canvas effect color technology! Comes with its own wooden display easel, too!

Investment Opportunity! With every movement of the brush, Emily Carr (1871-1945) painted a legacy that is today ingrained in our collective cultural identity. She is Canada’s most famous female artist—a prolific landscape painter whose vivid, sweeping depictions of the West Coast and Indigenous themes helped shape an emerging vision of Canada through its art. This extremely desirable collectible is an opportunity to add a celebrated Canadian work of art to your collection. Through a wondrous combination of engraving and color, your coin is a numismatic version of "Big Raven" by Emily Carr, complete with engraved “brushstrokes” in a silver sky that also appears on the obverse, and a canvas effect that gives it all the look (and feel) of art painted directly on canvas.

Original Work of Art by A Renowned Artist!
Your coin is based on Big Raven (1931) by Canadian artist Emily Carr. Like the original oil painting, this rendering features vivid colors and sweeping lines that are characteristic of the artist’s expressive style. Waves of overgrown vegetation surround the carved raven, while behind it, geometric-shaped columns of light descend from the sky. The coin’s silver surface stands in for the beams of light that shine down from the dark clouds above, with expertly engraved lines that replicate individual brushstrokes. A canvas effect adds an extra layer of detail that creates the appearance of art painted directly on the coin-turned-canvas. The image is bordered by the engraved legends “BIG RAVEN • 1931 • GRAND CORBEAU” and “EMILY CARR”. The reverse replicates the engraved sky and simulated brushstrokes from the obverse, and features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
