Obverse
A domesticated walks proudly amidst bucolic Chinese scene featuring a peony flower blossom, a symbol of prosperity, good fortune and riches. The legend YEAR OF THE PIG defines the theme. The Chinese character for "Pig" is above the pig's head, while the Perth Mint's "P" mint mark is judiciously placed to the right, near the 3:00 position along the rim.


Reverse
Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in crowned profile facing right. This portrait, featuring Her Majesty wearing a tiara and pearl earrings, was executed by the sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend XX OZ 9999 GOLD guarantees the weight and purity. The legends ELIZABETH II, the date and the denomination also appear.
